1970 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40
Fully custom and one of a kind FJ40. It is registered as a 1970 with a clean title but like most of these old land cruisers, it is not numbers matching. The body is actually a 1975, which is a bonus because body parts and rust replacement panels are more readily available. Below is a list of what is installed on the FJ, $31,590 in accessories and upgrades and as you can see, most of the prices do not include labor to install, nor does this number include the original cost of the car. The tub is almost rust free, the floor boards are solid and the areas around the rear wheels and under the rear doors are in good shape. I have owned it for a little over a year, during that time, I replaced the battery, installed the running boards, front bumper and winch and installed the new Orion transfer case. I also replaced the oil pan, changes all of the fluids and added some farkles to the engine compartment. The front bumper, running boards tailgate and rear aluminum corner panels are powder coated to match. The rest of the work was done when I bought it and it is my understanding that the build has less than 4k miles on it. Engine runs strong and the suspension is soft and has plenty of flex/twist. It rides great and always turns heads. Also included is a hard top, side doors and rear ambulance doors but they need to be restored. The fiberglass top is good, the glass is good and the side doors are complete BUT they all have areas on the bottoms that are rusted through. Patch panels are available for the side doors and the rear doors but the rust on the rear corners of the top will have to be repaired by hand. (the guy I bought it from stored them in the dirt :/ ) It is a solid clean rig but it is a driver, not a show car. There are some chips and blemishes in the paint. It can be viewed in Eagle, Idaho.
