Description:

1978 Toyota Land Cruiser

Well I'm sure no expert on Toyota FJ- 40 land cruisers, but I aquiredthis fj-40 from a friend who has owned it for well over 30 years.
This is what I would call a "Barn Find" as it just sits in storage 99% of the time. It gets started and driven every severalmonths, or so.. (It actually runs and drives excellent). It's filthy-dirty and could use a lot of cleaning and attention to detail.
The FJ-40 has a newer exhaust system, as well as new front leaf springs. It has good oil pressure, runs cool, and I think everything works as it should.( zero smoke and very quiet).
This would be a great candidate for restoration, or just drive it as-is?
I do know that the 1978 Land Cruiseris a good year, because of the ambulance doors, disc brakes,4 speed transmission, and themodel 2F 4.2 engine. This FJ also has a factory P.T.O. winch.
The biggest minus is that it has the typical rust. ( I have seen much worse).
Included is a "factory new", right front fender (800.00). I have all the jump seats, and the factory heater. (all sitting in the back as well). Also their is a factory tool kit, and the originalowners manualwith it.I have tried to take good pictures so you can see its overall condition.I have a clear and open Colorado title for it and 2 sets of keys.
My opening bid is $2,750 with no reserve.
This vehicle is over 40 years old and I am selling it "as-is". I would much ratheryou plan for the worst, and hope for the best, than be disappointed,in anyway. Now... all that having been said... I can't imagine findinga more complete, or a more original, and un-molested FJ-40 with the factory winch like this for the price.( it even still has all the original emission stuff).
The vehicle is in my friends garage in Arvada Colorado.I am honest and dependable and the winning bidder can count on me for a smooth and simple transaction. I only want the buyer to be as excited as I was when it came my way.
P.S. If you plan to drive it home it has almost a fulltank of gas. Thanks for looking.
