History: Toyota didn't make 4x4's untill 1979 BUT you had an option to have the "Wolverine" package added. The trucks that were special ordered were built in Florida or California depending on where you bought the truck. I have talked to many people and there were only a few made. one expert said maybe 100 but its just an educated quess.
This is a dry desert New Mexico truck and is completly original but has been sitting outside most it's life and has rust. When I found it, the bed and floorboards were full of trash and dirt or this truck wouldn't have any rust per say. Floorboards still had the factory insulation and carpet.
SOLID FRAME and areas that matter in a restoration but has rust in the floorboards and along the seam in the bed. (where they all rust). Shock Towers also rust free.
Very buildable truck or get running and drive as is!
I have not tried starting truck but was told it was running when parked. email phone # and I can text more pictures to you
The truck was originally yellow with orange graphics down the sides but sometime in its life it got a real cheap respray of white.
Numbers Matching: It has the original wheels, lockers, drivetrain, engine, etc. Even looks like the original jack
Transmission goes into all gears easily and clutch feels strong
Rolls and steers easy, brakes even have pedal.
Has the original bullet proof 20R engine and is free. It won't take much to get it started.
I can probably help with shipping. Many haulers in this area that I have used are needing work but is buyers responsibility to have shipped.
Clear clean New Mexico title
I have looked for an early Toyota Wolverine for years and finally found this one but now I'm not in the best health to rebuild and enjoy it.
