1991 MR2 TURBO 3rd Gen 1997 3SGTE Very Low Miles and Tons of Performance Parts

Price: US $7,500.00 Item location: Paradise, California, United States
Description:

1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo

I have owned this car for about 13-14 years. About five years ago I decided to install a extremely low mileage 1997 Japan import 3rd gen turbo 3sgte engine with a limited slip trans axle. The engine and transaxle cost me around $4500 alone not including install.
While converting the engine I also installed:
performance clutch kit,
high volume fuel pump,
Samco silicon hoses,
Mishimoto aluminum radiator
Water pump
Timing belt
Tensioner
NGK plugs
And a complete Egr smog system so it can be legally smogged (Which it does and passes with flying colors)
The engine is a huge upgrade from the original 3sgte engine. It produces nearly 300 hp, has larger 540cc fuel injectors (Originals were 330cc), has a non MAF air intake, a lower compression engine which allows for higher boost pressure, and the limited slip trans axle which makes handling a absolute dream!
Suspension:
K-Sport fully adjustable coil overs
Fully poly bushings
Interior:
Authentic Sparco bucket seats which cost me around $700 each when originally purchased
So here is the deal... This car has less than 9x,xxx original miles, around 38,000 on the engine and transaxle, and only about 6,000 miles on the clutch kit. Speaking of 6000 miles which is approximately all I have driven the car in the past 6 years and is the reason I am selling it. It is on a non op and hasn't been driven in about two years. I start it up every few months just to keep the engine parts lubricated but that's it...
This car is a running project in that it needs cosmetic work. The body is not perfect and really needs a paint job. The seats have been a bit bleached by the sun and although they are in good shape could use a little tlc... The tires are about 80% but because I never drive it they need to be replaced because of their age (over 12 years old)... The last issue is that there seems to be a parasitic drag on the battery so if it is left for a few days the battery will be dead. I have narrowed the draw to the AC rectifier which is a common issue on MR2s...
My price is firm. You are paying for a fraction of what I have in parts alone and basically getting the car for free.
The car is also on a non op (zero back fees) with a clear title. I have removed it from my insurance so the best I can offer is a test drive down my private street with me driving...
*Shipping*Shipping costs and pick up of vehicle are the responsibility of the buyer. I will however help in whatever way I can to help ease the process, and I have helped with shipping a number of cars all over the Country and Internationally..
