1976 Toyota Land Cruiser

Beautiful original FJ40 with original Toyota PTO winch. Winch has been resealed and components powder-coated. Winch PTO driveshaft was rebalanced. All function with lots of new parts. 100% mechanically sound. New AC and power steering. This vehicle is virtually rust free due to having all panels drilled and sprayed with the Ziebart hot wax system when new. Interior was completely stripped, sanded, POR rustproofed, texture painted original color code 532. Front door interiors have been painted and new panels and handles. Driver seat has had the “big-folk” slide added to allow it to go back a bit farther. New Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo with 6 hi-quality speakers. Seatbelts, pedals, mirrors and so many more parts are all new with OEM NOS parts. Weber carburetor conversion provides automatic choke with exceptional performance, yet still utilizes OEM air cleaner for that original look. New tires and hub caps. Roll cage and wheels have been powder-coated. Top has been professionally repainted and headliner dyed. All brake components are new including, rotors, drums, wheel cyl, hoses, bearings and seals. Front Warn hubs are new. All ignition parts are new including a Performance HEI ignition distributor and coil and wires. All door and windshield weather-stripping and wipes are new. Windshield is new. Ignition cylinder and front door lock cylinders are new. All power steering components including hoses and sector are new. Interior carpet and mats are new. All seat frames have been powdered coated and all seat upholstery is in excellent condition. There was a partial rebuild performed in 1999 by TLC Specialists. Have all original books and paperwork and 3 ring binder with all work that has been done. The bad: • Even with auto choke these guys are cold natured. If it is freezing outside you are going to have to let it run and idle for about 5-10 min. • Center console was replaced with an after-market console. The lid is slightly warped and you have to press down on it hard to lock it. OEM consoles are still available from most of the vintage LC suppliers. • The old grab bar on the glove compartment has rusted some and left some surface rust on the dash and considered minor cosmetic. This vehicle is a head turner and has the potential to be a show winner as well as a fun every day driver.
