You are bidding on a 1968 FJ40 Land Cruiser restromod. This was a total frame off restoration. I have a complete photo library of the build stages. Every single item was rebuilt to factory specifications or replaced with new. The engine, transmission, transfer case, and differentials were completely rebuilt to factory specifications. This is an all steel vehicle. I'm now moving on to a new project. To sum up, this is an essentially a new FJ40 with every component replaced with new or re machined back to factory specifications. I drive this vehicle and have 2 kids who are usually in it, so there are some small scratches and a few paint nicks, there is a small 1/2 ding in the front bib we somehow missedduring the build, overall condition is a 9.5/10. This vehicle runs and drives like new, you can drive 55 mph with your hands off the wheel. I will work with your shipper as needed, or deliver within 100 miles. Deposit will be $500.00 via PayPal. Final payment in cash, or certified check, title will be held until check clears. I still drive it, so the milage might change. My overall goal with this project was to rebuild an FJ40 that was still a super reliable off grid beast, but upgraded the things I think Toyota got wrong (brakes, power steering, fuel, ignition). Over $60 k invested in this build, and when you see that a used ashtray sells oneBay for $98, you will see where the money went. The following modifications have been made.

Drive train:

1F totally rebuilt to factory specifications

Stainless steel header and exhaust

Remote oil filter

Aluminum radiator

Weber carburetor conversion with electric choke

GM HEI ignition

High torque/high speed starter

4 speed conversion with the original 3 speed transfer case for a lower craw gear, both completely rebuilt to factory specifications.

Converted over to "twin sticks" so you can shift 4WD/2WD independent of low and high gear.

Suspension:

Old Man Emo 2.5" lift and shocks

FJ 60 power steering conversion

Custom 1" center link with larger FJ 80 tie rod ends

Anti-reversal shackles

U-bolt skid plates

4 Wheel disk brake conversion, Wilwood in the front and GM in the rear. Wilwood master cylinder and Toyota mini truck power boster.

Body:

Frame off total strip, all areas repaired with metal, new seam sealer, acid etch primer and repaint.

Front cowl vent deleted

All new FJ40 marking emblems

Full doors with all new felts, glass and weather stripping

Color matched half doors

All hardware was converted over to stainless steel where available

Electrical:

New wiring harness

Converted to LED lighting Headlights, side marker lights, rear/turn, and interior lighting.

Digital dash made to look like the original FJ40 cluster. Fully programmable for different warnings and tire size changes

All electronics were relocated to the tool compartment under the driver's seat.
