1982 Toyota Land Cruiser Base Sport Utility 4-Door

I present for sale my 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser HJ60 Diesel with 357,900km (222,389mi). VIN HJ60005261. This truck has the 2H engine, 4 speed manual gearbox and runs on a 12 VDC electrical system. It is right-hand drive. It was imported from Australia and I have a clear South Carolina title in my name. Please research and verify your particular situation, but no additional paperwork or process should be necessary to transfer title and register in your state beyond that of a vehicle purchased in the U.S. I purchased this truck in December 2015 with the intention of fixing it up to use in the mountains and no longer need it as I am transferring overseas for the next two years or more.

Unfortunately, I do not have any history on the truck. The truck runs and drives enough to get it on a trailer or around the shop, but do not plan on driving it any distance. This truck is being represented here as a project vehicle and nothing more. A couple grand in parts and a few weekends of your time and I believe you would have a great work truck. I know very little about the vehicle as I just haven't had time to really dive into the project since importing it and getting the paperwork squared away. Here's what I do know:

-New AGM battery

-Runs and drives, no problems starting

-No blowback through the oil cap

-Very little smoke once warmed up

-Shifts into 4H and 4L

-Air conditioning runs, but not cold

-Heater hose has some sort of bypass installed, needs replacement

-Replaced the passenger side sliding window with a refurbished unit

-Includes gasket material for refurbishing the driver side sliding window

-Alternator does not work, a replacement is included

-Power steering pump needs rebuilt

-Knuckles need attention, likely need rebuilt

-Rust through on one corner in front of rear wheel

-Two wheels are original, two are aftermarket

-Missing rear headrests

-Broken front turn signal lens

-Cover included
