1977 Toyota Land Cruiser Land Cruiser

I am selling this beautiful 77 Toyota FJ-40 in the hopes it will go to a great home . I also made a walk around movie on you tube entitled: 1977 Yota Cruisre by Marty Thomas. Over the past 11 years I have done 155 early broncos and just had to work on a Toyota Land Cruiser FJ-40. Driving this little rig is a blast. Of course the original 6 cylinder has been replaced by a hearty 350 Chevrolet motor. It was done professionally in Southern Cal and thus has the emissions controls and California emissions stamp. I installed a new 2 into one into 2 dual exhaust system with a stainless Magnaflow dual baffle muffler which is pretty throaty but quieter than flowmasters. The drivetrain is exceptionally solid and trouble free. I added a new air filter, plugs, and flushed the cooling system. It runs at 180 degrees at 88 degrees ambient outside temperature in stop and go traffic. The 4 speed manual is smooth as silk and shifts effortlessly. The brakes are big power discs up front and drum in rear . The FJ stops on a dime and the shoes/pads are like new. There are no leaks visible and I would say it's mechanically VERY sound. Starts right up and purrs ...... grrrrr. The body and chassis have 74,568 original miles but the engine has far less. The clutch feels EXCELLENT and the steering is tight, straight, and doesn't wander. Of course the new 31x11.50 mud terrains on Mickey Thompson Sydbyter II wheels helps. The wheels and tires have 14 miles on them. The winch is new as well. I used the Smittybilt 10,000 water proof winch with wireless remote or wire remote. The wireless works up to 50' away. The interior is in most excellent shape. We just restored the rear heater and the seats are rip free and comfortable. The three point restraints are factory Toyota. The roll cage is a family 4 point that extends over the rear jump seats which also have Toyota lap restraints. The fire extinguisher is new and we use a "club" locking device even though the door locks are factory and functional. The glass is pro tinted 52% dark throughout. I'm not sure since this is my first Yota if the hardtop is supposed to have a headliner because there are no screw holes like on a bronco. I installed new wiper assembly and a new Kenwood Excelon AM-FM-ipod-usb-bluetooth stereo and 4 speakers. It sounds awesome and the bluetooth hands free works through the stereo system for crystal clear voice . All in all this is one of the nicest I have had the pleasure to own or drive. The new owner should really like the way it handles, starts, and runs.Disclaimers: The FJ-40 described above is being sold "as is" and "where is" and there are no warranties whatsoever. The receipts for the new parts are included with the sale but I don't have any warranties for performanc, fi, or finish. It is the sole responsibility of the buyer/bidder to ascertain the fit, finish, and quality of the Cruiser prior to auction end or have a trusted mechanic inspect the rig before bidding. The pictures speak volumes but a hands on inspection is better. Good Luck !. For additional info not given please feel free to call Marty at 503 793 0204. I can be emailed at badasstuner@gmail.com.
