1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40Up for sale is a beautiful vintage 1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. Vehicle is in extremely good condition for its age as evidenced in the photos. Everything on this Land Cruiser works 100% including all the lights, engine, high/low range, 4wd, winch, and everything else mechanical. The engine is the original Toyota straight 6 cylinder which runs perfectly. It has a specialty carburetor whereas the choke / high idle are activated by the gas pedal which is very convenient. It comes with a heavy duty winch that can be activated by an interior switch or a remote control switch. The tires are Goodyear Wranglers with Kevlar reinforced sidewalls mounted on very nice cast aluminum rims.
This Land Cruiser has the diamond plate rear corner coverings and diamond plate swing-out tailgate doors. I have the original tailgate doors as well that go with this sale. There is also a custom one-of-a-kind rear tire mount and integrated receiver hitch bracket. The bracket also holds the included fuel and water cans. The bracket assembly has an assisted-opening hydraulic cylinder that aids swinging and also holding the swing-away portion in the open position. I have an older spare rim to go along with this rig but I don’t have a spare tire mounted on the rim...just haven't had the need for the spare tire as just drove it locally.
This Land Cruiser has a very nice sound system which includes a Pioneer radio / cd player with Pioneer speakers. The radio is mounted in a lock box as shown in the photos.
Other features include fog lamps and interior dome lights. In addition, there are back up lamps controlled by a switch in the cab.
It is originally from Oklahoma, and the overall condition of the body and frame are amazing and rust free except there are some very small surface rust spots on a small portion of the edge of each front fender. These spots are hardly noticeable. There is also a small rust hole in the bottom of the left inside corner of the tailgate that was there when the vehicle was re-painted years ago and is only visible when the tailgate is open in the upright position.
Odometer reading is 01646. I have a clear title in hand.
