1989 Toyota Land CruiserClean - 2 owner vehicle. I have personally owned this truck for 22 years. This FJ62 was my dream car/truck and I've had a hard time letting go, but I live in CA now and it has just been sitting in my parent's driveway.
Low Mileage and engine was rebuilt at 118,000 miles by DeLuca Toyota in Ocala, FL.
4.0 litre, inline six cylinder, electronically fuel injected engine
4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive
Manually front locking hubs for Toyota's legendary 4WD system
Vented power assist front disc brakes
2 speed transfer case with one touch transfer case selector
Chrome power side mirrors
Front and rear chrome bumpers
Intermittent windshield wipers and rear window wiper
Spent its entire life in Florida. Has never been off-roaded. Never smoked in and clean interior. This wonderful truck has wear that's to be expected from a 27 year old vehicle. Comes with orig tool bag, tools and jack. Title is clean/clear and in my name.
The engine is very strong. This was my daily driver for many years. There is a valve ticking sound after the rebuild that has not caused any problems in the past 70k+ miles - multiple mechanics have looked and said not to worry. There are no reported manufacturer's defects on this vehicle. You are looking at an exceptional SUV! These Land Cruisers are very popular and reliable! One of Toyota's best engines ever made, they routinely go 300,000 miles. The engine compartment clean, and free of any leaks.
All in all the car really runs great! As you can judge for yourself from the pictures - the interior is clean and looks good! Thehydraulicson the rear hatch have lost pressure and don't hold it open. The power locks work except the driver power door lock sticks. The power windows are in good working order,Full disclosure: the rear windows take a little longer to go up and down. The driver window is fast up and down and that's good since that's the one you'll use the most. The turn signals work intermittently, this just started and I expect there might be a short. The dashboard has 3 cracks behind the instrument panel. The radio was replaced with a Sony head unit with 10 disc changer under the passenger seat.
THE FRAME IS SOLID. The body has some rusted areas but no water penetrates through to the interior - most significantly in the gutters on the right side and rear (some sealed with aluminum featured in the photos, ).Paint on the driver side rear panel is fading appears to have been repaired (from 1 minor accident in June 1993 before I bought the vehicle). The FJ62 is upgraded from the FJ60 - they came with rear sway bars and shoulder belts and head rests in the rear bench seat. They have larger side-view mirrors than a 60. They have a 4.11 gear ratio, vacuum operated push-button 4WD, power antenna and a more study frame. With the back seats folded flat, there's SIX FEET of cargo area length. Back seats up and you still have four feet of cargo area. This is Toyota's best version of a true SUV - off road capability designed for the African wilds or Australian Outback,
