1968 Toyota Other

All original Toyota Crown Station Wagon. The following information was related to me by the person I bought the car from. The car was first imported to Los Angeles by a diplomat who later sold it around 1990.The lady I bought it from later moved to Albuquerque with the car and it was her daily driver. We met and I expressed interest in the car and about two years later she sold it to me.That was around 1997.I drove it to Tucson and around town a little bit then parked it behind a rental house of mine with every intention of having it painted and keeping it.Well, bunch of years went by and here we are today and it’s for sale.

The car was just detailed and it really looks great now.The detailer who is also a restorer and painter, uoted me around $2500 for a paint job including repairing the hood and door areas which he said were of no real concern.

The interior is in really decent shape. The seats, arpets, nd the door panels are in very good shape with only minor issues. The black carpet is faded in a few places and there are some open places on the door panels. The headliner has a couple of small cuts. The exterior needs some work as you can see from the photos. The dent in the roof has been pushed out and will need some more love to make perfect..The car was running well when I parked it and shouldn’t take too much to make it really nice.Around January 15th of this year (2016), had a restorer/painter take a look at it.He gave me an estimate of around $2000.00 to repaint the car, emoving all the bumpers and trim but not the motor, nd paint the same color. He didn’t think there was anything major to be concerned about. The foot wells are all completely rust free. You can see from the photos that there are some small areas of rust on a couple of the doors. The car has just over 100k miles on it. All original.I have a clear title along with some maintenance documents from over the years, ome parts guys that may or may not still be around and the original owner’s manual. The car is also for sale locally and may be removed from ebay before the auction ends if it sells here.
