1988 Suzuki Samurai

This auction is for a 1988 Suzuki Samurai hardtop with sunroof to be fixed up. I have already done a lot of work to the Samurai which will save you a lot of money. The body is good & solid it does have a small dent on drivers side front fender were parking light is. I had always wanted a Samurai diesel, but did not like a Volk wagon diesel simply because they just don't last like a Isuzu diesel. The 2.2 diesel I got came out of a truck my cousin bought new & after he died I bought it & drove it for several years & got a mechanic to take the 2.2 diesel & 5 speed trans out of the Isuzu truck & install it into the Samurai, the motor has a 146,000 actual miles & has never been into, & motor & trans ran good.I had him install a new clutch pressure plate & throw-out bearing. These motors are known to run to over 500.000 miles & I personally know of 1 with over 1 million miles on it & never was torn into. The Isuzu diesel radiator was modified at the radiator shop to fit in the Samurai. I sprung over the leafs to add height & a 3 inch lift on body,4 new shocks, new spool in rear end, 4 brand new B.F.Goodrich 31 inch tall tires. A extra heavy duty winch bumper with a factory tow bar made to fit it. I have a brand new diesel muffler that I just put on the truck but had it took off to put it on the Samurai. There is a old transfer case I got with the Samurai but you will need to either have it built or buy another one & install it & recut & install the drive shafts back in . When the mechanic put the motor & trans in some how he broke the aluminum tail housing on the transmission & will need to have another tail house put on the trans, it will need a back bumper & front buckets recovered & redo interior & paint the Samurai inside & out or you could camouflage it. My health has gotten bad & not able to work on it anymore & even though I am loosing a lot of money I would rather see it fixed up than just set there. I have way over $3000.00 in it the way it sits. If you have any questions just ask & I will do the best I can,
