1927 Studebaker Commander

PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS CAR IF YOUR INTENTION IS TO MAKE IT ANYTHING BUT ORIGINAL. The first owner drove this Studebaker 39,000 miles in eastern Washington. When he passed his sons couldn't decide who would get the car so they put it on blocks and painted it "stove-top black" with a brush to prevent rust. Both of the boys eventually passed and my father bought the car from the estate 34 years ago in Wenatchee Washington. Dad wanted a project for the two of us. On the way home we stopped at a diner by the Columbia River, a man in the Diner offered Dad double his purchase price just to back the car off the trailer (pictures of the car on the trailer in 1983). The car runs but has not been driven in 10-15 years. We had an issue with the gravity fuel pump. When we did drive it we would fill up the canister with fuel and were able to drive it a few miles. I have an electric fuel pump but never installed it (it just didn't feel right). Somewhere Dad found a extra engine that was used in a homemade sawmill (included with the sale). I have the original hood ornament which has a broken arm, and a recast replica. All six side windows roll down and have window shades. Everything is original and unmolested. It has a few rips in the upholstery and the head liner needs to be tightened. The backseat passengers enjoy a foot rest. I also have an extra right rear fender. This 90 year old car is awesome. The Sale of our family farm is the only reason this car is available for sale. I am willing to work with the buyers transportation company if shipping is required.
