Description:

1959 Studebaker Lark Deluxe

Now at age 75, after many years of restoring and driving old race cars, we have sold our main shop building, and it's time to sell off mostour accumulated stock of part, and many of our cars.

this RARE Lark is for sale at our shop, and listing may be ended at any time.

For many years we have had a reputation for not being over-positive in our assessments.
That said, this is about the very best 60 year old car we have ever had for restoration, and I believe it it is a good candidate for even amateurs with basic skills, as it requires minimum body work, runs good, has a clean interior, and is pretty complete to begin with, and is a relatively rare and very desirable car when completed.
These early Larks were the first of the Compact V8 powered Muscle Cars and won at Daytona, Sebring, and the Little LeMans at Lime Rock
VERY hard to find, especially in this "rock solid and running" condition,
as is our custom, it is offered here, before we begin a full restoration.

Formerly a California Collectors car, it is here in Alabama... with zero rust holes... and...
a VERY straight body with only minor dings, and needing small repair of front fenders at lower door seam.
Most things appear to be working, but we have not been able to drive, as it has a broken axle half shaft in the rear.
If the car is not sold, we will replace, and adjust price accordingly as a driver.
It has a very nice headliner.
Four 205/75 -15 tires are good with lots of tread.
Both bumpers are good, and included
Stainless trim is very good, and included.
Nice grill, with deluxe surround trim.
Windshield and rear window are very good. FLAT glass in side windows has cracks or discoloring and will need replacement.
This is a RARE Opportunity to acquire one of the earliest Larks with a RARE V8 instead of the flathead six that most of them have, and I expect it should be a straight-forward restoration, even for an amateur with basic skills.
The car comes with California TITLE, making your registration or Importing easier.
Here is a You tube video of the car running... just as we received it.... https://youtu.be/go1rJo4_xPA
