1951 Studebaker Commander V8 - Barn Find

Description:

1951 Studebaker Commander

For sale is a legendary bullet nose 4 door Commander, This Studebaker is in overall rough condition. This car was parked in a barn in 1968 and not seen daylight until recently. It has the original untouched Studebaker 262 V8 engine (which does not turn over). This car is like a time warp to 1951 especially under the hood with everything original, air cleaner, hose clamps, generator even the plug wires! However being parked in a barn for 49 years has taken it's toll on the undercarriage. The frame is rusted bad, the under body including the entire trunk area has also suffered bad seams and rust areas. The front clip is NICE! and the bullet nose is not bad. The interior is also not too bad for a 66 year old car. There is a lot of excellent parts on this car yet including the a V8 Studebaker Engine which may be a great potential engine for project if it can be freed up. The car does roll and has the original manual transmission. Front and back glass is good. It also has three original mint glass taillight lenses. No brakes, no keys but have clear title.
These cars are not easy to find parts for and once this car is gone it's gone. The burgundy paint on the car is original paint.
I've been very fair and descriptive in the description so please if you have any questions please ask BEFORE bidding. Thank you for looking.
