1965 Shelby Cobra

65 Cobra Replica. Titled in IL as a 65 Cobra!! Under 4K orig miles since completion. Started by a guy in Maine but a divorce made him give up the car. A guy in Daytona Beach picked up the car and finished it around 2015. Rarely driven by him and he decided to get something he could drive safely and not scare the neighbors. I searched for 5 months before he agreed to let me come look at it and after my heart jumped out of my chest, i made him an offer he could not refuse. I have had so much fun with the car but it is time to move on to another. I entered 5 car shows and won every single one. I absolutely hate to sell it and i know the day it sells, i will kick myself repeatedly. So what does it have.....it has a FORD race motor with race crank and cam producing around 480 horsepower which for a car weighing around 2000 lbs, is like a rocket!!! The motor is paired to a Tremec 5 Speed. There are two very small (maybe size of 1MM) nicks in the paint (one inside driver door that cant been seen from outside) but that is it. Won best in show paint 3 times. Side pipes sound amazing.....has under dash CD connector with CD/radio mounted in trunk. Has kill switch as well under dash. This car with the burnt orange and painted grey strips (yes, painted and clear, not a sticker) turns heads all day and night. I have had hundreds of people ask me how much and have had several good offers but i was not ready. It will not go cheap as i will wait until the time is right. It must go to a good home as well. If i meet you and i don't think you will love the car and treat her the way she needs and deserves to be treated, no sale. I have 6 garage spots and the Cobra is up on a lift in the heated and AC cooled garage where she rests...just waiting for the next time she can go outside and stretch her legs. I have a binder of every possible receipt down to spark plugs and shipping bills for the car that is over 4" thick. I have the sheet showing the measurements from the engine being built and everything. Again, if it doesn't sell, i will just keep it.
