1967 Shelby GT500 FASTBACK

This is a 1967 Shelby mustang that is very rare and low mileage. It was a drag racer back in the day and by that being said you should know its not a 100% factory assembly line matching #'s correct. The original owner back in the day bought this car from J.D.BALL FORD in Miami Fl and within a week blew up the original engine and i was told that the dealer picked it up from a drag strip and towed it to the dealership. With the warrantee still in effect there was some disagreement between the owner and the adjuster after he found out where they picked it up at (DRAG STRIP, so the owner made a deal with them by buying a over the counter 427 hi performance engine and replace the original 428 PI. The dealer installed the 427, so all in all its a dealer installed 427 engine. later the automatic transmission was replaced to a big spline 428 toploader transmission RUG-AE. the interior is all original with hardly any wear. i was told it got its red/orange paint in the late 90's and still looks pretty good today. The original owner made this car what shelby should have offered 427 engines rule! after i bought it i had the 427 rebuilt using the best of the best you could buy. the engine had less than 30k miles and i had it bored .030 over and i have put nearly 100 miles since then. thanks for looking at my auction. if you need more pictures let me know. i am selling some of my collector cars, several 65-66 mustangs and a 36 dodge 2 door sedan along with a 59 ford panel truck and a 64 f350 factory car hauler like the one Shelby American Racing use to own, all of these i will be listing here on ebay soon.
Please call before you bid with any questions you have. I have many more pictures I can email you if you need them and are a serious buyer. The car needs to be picked up within two weeks of the end of Auction unless we speak and make other arrangements. I will assist in loading the car for a shipper but the cost of shipping is the buyers responsibility. Funds have to clear and be in my hand before the car is picked up.
