Description:

1965 Shelby

You are viewing a beautiful Factory Five Mark II Roadster replica of the 1965 Ford AC Cobra. This is a privately owned car that was built by the private adult owner in 2003. To say this Cobra is nice is an understatement. This cobra was built to drive and yet it is right at home at the local shows. The single word that describes this cobra is "METICULOUS". The body is beautiful and painted Ford Poppy Red (orange) with Wimbleton White stripes. The fit and finish is extremely nice. All of the exterior chrome is in excellent condition including the chrome 2" roll bar, over rider bumpers, windshield framing and rear view mirror. The polished aluminum wheels are American Racing Hopsters 17x8 on front with Nitto / NT 555 24 x 45 fronts and 17 x 9.5 rears with 275 x 40 rear tires. The windshield has wind wings and tinted visors. Completing the exterior is a set of ceramic coated side pipes. The interior of this stunning Cobra is finished in Tan Leather. The dash is fitted with a full set of Auto Meter Classic gauges, Shelby wood steering wheel, UPR shifter, fire extinguisher, RCI four point seat belts, Kenwood AM/FM/CD/MP3 head unit with MTX speakers including 4 six inch full range, 4 tweeters, 1 ten inch base box and five channel MTX amp mounted in the finished trunk. The final touch in this interior are the 3" fresh air ducts with blowers. The trunk as you can see is also finished with the tan leather. It houses the red top Optima battery, sound system amp and small storage compartment. Also you will notice the side panels are done in polished aluminum. Under the hood of this Cobra is an engine compartment that is meticulous. It is home to a Ford Racing 302 cu.in. crate engine complete with GT40 heads/valve train, Edlebrock Victor Jr, intake, Quickfuel 750 blow through carb. and ARP head studs and Ford Racing Aluminum Radiator.. To add a little more Horse power a Procharger SC1 Intercooled supercharger with the optional 2" belt was installed. This Supercharger provides 8.5 lbs of boost at 5600 rpm. Fuel is supplied to this 302 by a Magna Fuel Quickstar 300 fuel pump that plumbs through a Quickfuel Billet adjustable fuel regulator and fuel pressure gauge. The ignition system is an MSD: 6BTM ignition box with a billet distributor, Blaster coil and 8.5mm wires. The shifting duties are taken care of with a World Class T-5 transmission equipped with a UPR shifter and Center Force clutch. The horsepower is put to the ground through a 8.8 posi rear spinning a set of 3.73 Richmond gears and Ford Racing axles. This complete drive train now produces 449HP WITH 416 TQ AT 5600 RPM TO THE REAR WHEELS. We have the dyno sheet confirming this. Too handle this Increase in power the front suspension has tubular a-frames with coil over shocks and Flaming river manual rack and pinion set up. The rear suspension has a Mustang 4-Link with FFR 4 link bars and Bilstein coil over shocks. Finally stopping power is provided by a complete Baer package that includes 2 piece13.6" slotted rotors on front with 12" rotors on the rear. 2 piston calipers are on the front. the master cylinder is also Baer as is the proportioning valve. Overall this is the complete ac cobra replica you want to own. It runs as good as it looks and will not last long at the price it is being offered for. This car is titled as a 2004 special build.
