Up for Auction from The Mustang Ranch in Golden, Colorado. This 1968 Shelby GT 500 KR #8T02R216205-04436 Ford special yellow paint #WT6066, 1 of 129 producedhas an interesting story attached to it. Although this KR has traveled half a world away it is all American through and through. She still retains her numbers matching 428 Cj motor and C-6 Automatic transmission. This Shelby was restored in 2005 with all MCA approved parts and quality workmanship and today has about 2000 miles on the rebuild. All original sheet metal and fiberglass. Original frame rails, torque boxes, floor pans, quarter panels,trunk drop off's and engine bay sheet metal. The Kr still retains the Ford and Shelby vin numbers which are stamped into the engine bayaprons. There is no rust or rust repair or any signs of collision. This is by far one of the cleanest Fastback shells that I have ever seen! The car shows very well. All the glass, chrome, trim, interior, tires and wheels are in exceptionally good condition. This Shelby belongs to a client of mine that has kept it serviced and driven monthly.The motor starts right up no noises, smoke or leaks. The transmissionshifts firm through all of the forward/ reverse gears (mild shift kit). I have had this car up to speed and more on the highway and I can tell you it is well sorted out. This car can be placed right into service! I have The Marti Report and a fair amount of documentation that goes with the car, clean history in The Shelby Registry.
