Excellent Driver Quality Car!

Marti Report Available

This car is a 47 year old unrestored car. It is in outstanding condition and what Icall a fantastic driver quality car. It has had minor repair over the years but no modifications other than correct style replacement parts and no modifications, it has had a repaint approximately 30 years ago and appears to be lacquer. The paint is older and has a good shine although I would not call it show quality, it is dull in a few spots and cannot be seen in the photographs this paint is 30 years old, Car is basically rust free. There is a spot on inside front passenger door jamb that had rust what appeared to be years ago that was probably sand blasted when car was painted and holes not filled or repaired properly. This is inside door jamb on doors front edge where the door weatherstripstarts. It cannot be seen unless door is all the way open and look under front bottom of door. I also found a previous repair in the driver side trunk drop down that was done years ago. There are no rust bubbles in the paint anywhere on the car. This is a rust free car. The under carriage was under coated when new and is still on the car, there are no dents on the car and no scratches, all of the fiberglass is original to the car, the exhaust is factory style with the resonators but does not have the transverse muffler, the wheels are original Shelby and the tires are Goodyear reproductions. It has the correct carburetor, it also has the original trunk well liner for the top, it has an original style trunk floor mat, space saver spare without the inflator bottle, the valve covers have been changed to the desirable 428 Cobra Jet finned aluminum valve covers, it has power steering, power front disc brakes, working tilt away steering column, rim blow steering wheel, the interior appears to be original and does show some signs of fading on the door panels, there are a few small cracks in the door panels around the door handles, the front seats were recovered in 2002 and are not showing any kind of wear and tear, the top is in great shape with correct glass rear window, the carpets are in great shape, it does not have the smog equipment, it has correct air cleaner, snorkel and S tube, the hood springs have been removed to allow for an excellent fitting hood, the radio is not original style to the car it looks like something from the 80’s the windshield is in good condition with no cracks, it starts right up and runs and drives great, the engine does not make any noises and the transmission was overhauled in 1998 and shifts properly, I have receipts for everything that has been done over the years dating back to 1982, I have copies of all owners titles dating back to 1969

I owned this car 7 years ago and traded it to a friend for his extensive Shelby collection, he is selling it to replace it with a restored 1969 Shelby car for his collection, it spends its life in air conditioning so there is no pitting on the trim or the car. All of the trim on this car presents nicely and is in great condition, see my other Shelby’s at cop cars for sale, Any questions please call Mickey at (225) 413-7790
