Description:

1994 Saturn S-Series

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE DESCRIPTION!!!
Here is a Saturn in mint condition that has been driven less than 3,000 miles. IT DOES NOT HAVE AN ENGINE, it has a 144 volt electric motor!
It was converted by the Bearskin Company of Monroe, North Carolina, for York Technical College in South Carolina, this pristine car has only been driven 2,700+ miles. Please note this conversion was done on a brand new vehicle, then used by Duke Energy Power Company to showcase a battery powered electric vehicle.
The car ran fine. I drove it to test a controller I designed. If you want to get it running again, you will need to install a motor controller and batteries. The electric motor is STILL in the vehicle. It ran on 144 volts. You can use lithium or lead acid batteries. The battery compartments are designed for lead acid batteries. There are ten batteries that install where the back seat was and two go up front under the hood.
Or, you may want to use this car for parts, or install an engine in it. The gas tank was removed, so you would need to re-install that also. There is a small hairline crack in the windshield. All the body panels are near perfect. The interior is mint.
Please do NOT bid on this car unless you understand EXACTLY what you are getting. This is a rare prototype vehicle.
This car is located in Kingsport, TN. I am ONLY available on weekends for pickup. This car is being sold AS IS. There is no warranty expressed or implied. A $500 deposit is due when this auction ends. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
