I’m often asked where we find these unique cars. A good friend often cruises parking lots of retirement homes, Elks clubs, the V.F.W halls and the back alleys of a well-known Scandinavian neighborhood here in Seattle. He can spot a seatbelt slammed in a car door a mile away… He always notices when a vehicle’s driving down the road with a turn signal left on just a little bit too long and he positively twitches with glee when passing by a car with metal bumpers.

So this is what happens when an Aircraft manufacturer decides to make a car … The Saab 96! If you’re in the market for a great driving, well-kept, vintage driver please give this coupe your kind attention. You’re also welcome to contact me with questions or to discuss a sale before the end of the Ebay listing. My name is Mark Weber andyou can always reach meat 425/233-4681.

CONDITION:
The photos really tell the car’s story. Olaf has spent most of his days here in the Great Pacific Northwest and has been driven sparingly over the past half-decade. He starts right up thanks to astrong Weber carb and drives down the road with ease. He's not a sprinter, but gets plenty of attention. His factory-installed free-wheeling feature works, letting one cruise at sixty mph and saving a bit on fuel. Olaf's very solid and quite stout for his 48 years. Please take another look at my photos. I think you'll agree he appearsrather proper, wearing an old english white satin paint job, nimblebluewheelrimsand sporting a matched sky blue interior (the rear seat is a little sun-faded but still very presentable). Most of the dash gauges work with the exception of the fuel gauge (isn’t that why the odometer was installed anyway?). If you know much about these fun little cars, you’ll recognize the unique front grille. I believe it's a Saab original and was used almost exclusively on Northern European Circuit rally cars.

Olaf has sat patiently in our garage the past few months, just waiting to move on to a new home. Truly, he’ll provide many more years of adventurous companionship if given the chance.Isn't it time you went Scandinavian? Skol !!Uff da !!!

Because of the amount of money involved in buying a vehicle, I require that Ebay members with a feedback history of five or fewer transactions call, textor email before placing a bid. If we don’t have this initial contact, your bid may be cancelled. The phone number to talk directly to me, as outlined above, is 425/233-4681. Please feel free to call or textany time during the auction. My name is MARK WEBER.

JUST A Few Additional Terms and Conditions:

Please check the photos over closely and call with any questions BEFORE you place a bid! You’re encouraged to inspect the Saab, so make an appointment or send your representative early to be sure you don't miss this one. I reserve the right to cancel your bid if you have any negative feedback. DEALERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO BID AS WELL! Additionally, I reserve the right to end the auction early if the car is no longer for sale or an acceptable offer has been agreed to. A nonrefundable $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction’s end. The balance is due by cash or certified funds within seven days unless prior arrangements have been made with me. Please remember you are bidding to buy and I fully expect the winning bidder to fulfill their Ebay contract! You’re not bidding to hold, inspect or then come test-drive theOlaf later as you’re more than welcome to do this before the auction ends.

If you do decide to have theSaab shipped home, there are many transportcompanies to choose from. I send vehicles regularly and suggest that you get a bid from the service most of our buyer’s use (and that Ebay endorses): Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS). Call them directly at (888) 817-6203. Give the sales rep my 98116 Zip Code for an accurate quote.

Alternatively, you might also try the U-Ship website (www.U-ship.com). Transporters will bid delivery of the vehicle and you'll be able to choose who you want to use. The shipping of the vehicle and company chosen are the responsibility of the BUYER. TheSaab can be stored free of charge at my warehouse location for up to 10 days after the auction ends assuming full payment has been received. I’ll need to charge storage at $20 per day thereafter.
