I’m often asked where we find these unique cars. A good friend often cruises parking lots of retirement homes, Elks clubs, the V.F.W halls and the back alleys of a well-known Scandinavian neighborhood here in Seattle. He can spot a seatbelt slammed in a car door a mile away… He always notices when a vehicle’s driving down the road with a turn signal left on just a little bit too long and he positively twitches with glee when passing by a car with metal bumpers.

So this is what happens when an Aircraft manufacturer decides to make a car … The Saab 96!If you’re in the market for a great driving, well-kept, vintage driver please give this coupe your kind attention. You’re also welcome to contact me with questions or to discuss a sale before the end of the Ebay listing. My name is Mark Weber andyou can always reach meat 425/233-4681.

CONDITION:
The photos really tell the car’s story. Olaf has spent most of his days here in the Great Pacific Northwest and has been driven sparingly over the past half-decade.He starts right up thanks to astrong Weber carb and drives down the road with ease. He's not a sprinter, but gets plenty of attention. His factory-installed free-wheeling feature works, letting one cruise at sixty mph and saving a bit on fuel.Olaf's very solid and quite stout for his 48 years. Please take another look at my photos. I think you'll agree he appearsrather proper, wearing an old english white satin paint job, nimblebluewheelrimsand sporting a matched sky blue interior (the rear seat is a little sun-faded but still very presentable). Most of the dash gauges work with the exception of the fuel gauge (isn’t that why the odometer was installed anyway?). If you know much about these fun little cars, you’ll recognize the unique front grille.I believe it's a Saab original and was used almost exclusively on Northern European Circuit rally cars.

Olaf has sat patiently in our garage the past few months, just waiting to move on to a new home. Truly, he’ll provide many more years of adventurous companionship if given the chance.Isn't it time you went Scandinavian?Skol !!Uff da !!!
