Superformance Mk iii Shelby Cobra AC Cobra Ford 427

Description:

1965 Replica/Kit Makes Cobra

This Cobra was purchased as you see it from the insurance company. It looks to have had a fuel fire. All of the carbs have damage from heat, some worse than others. The lower intake is fine. I am certain that the engine got water in it while putting out the fire. Consider that this engine will require going through to be sure of its internal integrity. I have never tried to make it run. The engine is 429 - 460 based engine. It has aluminum Super Cobra Jet Heads and of course the Webber 8 carb set up. The transmission looks to be a Tremec.
The car will require a new front clip (They seam them back together right under the doors...easy if you can glass), which is available from Superformance distributors as well as a hood, windshield, chrome and all cockpit amenities. (There was a hood for sale on Cobra Country) (The right fender once removed is salable) The floors are discolored in places due to glue and melted carpet but unharmed, the doors are singed on the inner edges but are repairable. The doors both open and shut and latch as they should. The lower tunnel looks to be a screwed in removable part and can be salvaged. The upper tunnel and firewall will need repair. It is all flat sheet work in those areas and could be repaired with out any molded shapes.
The frame is unharmed. As you can see from the photos the paint is not even harmed. Heck the belt didn't even burn. In the damaged corner the suspension, brakes and wheel all look to be fine other than a little smoke damage. Brake lines, master cylinder, booster and pedal box will all need replacing or refurbishing. Clutch master will need replacing.
The trunk and rear of the car is in perfect shape. Inside the trunk all the carpet, batterybox, trunk rubber and wires are perfect.
All of the wheels are true knock off wheels. The car pushes and rolls easily.
This is my 4th Cobra, Superformance makes an exceptional "Factory Built" vehicle. This is NOT a kit car. These cars are the next best thing to a true aluminum Shelby. They command and hold there value very well. Have a look at the prices of them. Here is someones chance to enter into a very well engineered, factory built quality car. The amount of work required to fix this will be less than putting together a kit car and you can be truley proud of it when it is completed. The power of this engine will be rediculous.
The title for this vehicle is a salvage title how you handle re-titling it will be up to you. If you live in Michigan and purchase this vehicle you will have to pay sales tax on the purchase price of the vehicle. "Out of staters" will pay it in their own state. The vehicle is at Litchfield Wrecker Service awaiting your pickup.
Payment must be made in full within 72 hours unless we mutually agree to a partial non-refundable payment. Cash or a Certified check are most preferred.
