· Purchased by current owner/seller at Iowa farm auction; October, 984

·Less than 30,647 miles indicated at time of purchase. Actual mileage was unknown.

· Stripped to bare metal and fully refinished on exterior; Spring, 985

· Engine professionally rebuilt; May, 985

· Driven to several 356 Registry Holidays

· Just completed maintenance service at Stalltek Porsche specialists; November 2015

· Receipts for all work since 1984

·Less than 53,080 miles indicated now. Actual mileage is unknown.

Body:

Originally Color Code 741 Slate Gray, er hinge cover tag and dash face

· Color change to Ruby Red by previous owner

· Restored and fully repainted by the owner/driver, 999-2005

· Now a nearly rust-free car with proper-fitting trim

· Original hood and rear lid, oth stamped “456” matching chassis number

· Good panel fits

· Doors, ood and deck lid close easily

· Front and rear lid supports operate as-new

Known issues:

· Note: Clear title lists model year as 1962, owever chassis number is 1961 model year. This should present no problems registering the car, ut the title is not correct.

·Less than 53,080 miles indicated. Actual mileage is unknown.

· Older restoration shows wear from 30 years of enthusiast use

· Paint is bubbling along both door bottoms. See photos

· Few chips and marks in paint around the car including valance below front bumper, op of left fender. See photos

· Small, oft dings in paint on left door, eft quarter panel, ight quarter panel

· Few nicks in trim on bumpers, ockers, indows

· Some chrome trim pitted, ncluding wheels, indow frames and reflectors

· One rust-through area on right front frame strut, ehind torsion bar mount

· Battery box and both front outer wheel wells repaired in 1985

· Light surface rust under car

· Sway bar bushings coming apart, hould be replaced

· Motor mounts very soft, hould be replaced

· Carb heater system is incomplete

· Some noise from ring and pinion on acceleration. Not bad, ut audible.

· All glass has few marks and scratches

· Windshield washers have not been tested

· Non-standard seat covers and carpet

· Tool kit and owner’s manual missing

· Spare tire hold-down and strap are not correct

· Battery cover missing

· Steering gear leaking oil slightly

· All parts included are as-is, ith no warranties
