1960 Porsche 356

This is a genuine California Porsche 356B. In dry storage since 1986 in Los Gatos California where it was originally purchased. It now resides at my desert home in LaQuinta CA. All numbers match, ngin, rans, anels, have a recent COA. I still have the original pink square title. Car was originally Aetna Blue and was poorly resprayed Ivory in the 70s. Most of the paint is oxidized to a flat chaulky white with the original Aetna blue showing through. All mechanical work has been completed, ngine resealed and adjusted, ew brakes, ylinders, oses, lutch, ressure plate. The car runs great, tops, tarts, hifts smooth. As the Porsche had sat for such a long time the gas tank was steamed, ew gas lines, arbs rebuilt, ll brake components redone. Vin 113223, ransmission 4005, aint code 6003, ngine number 603838

The body is extremely nice, ressure washing removed all the dryed out factory undercoat, he entire underside was scraped clean of any tar, rease or old undercoat, ack to the original metal. No undercoating was applied only a thin wash of chassis black, wanted to see all the panels, pot welds and seams that were done at the factory and was not about to hide them with undercoat. They are all visible, ack points are great and have been used to jack up the car. Longitudinals, loors pans, losing panels are solid, attery box looks to be replaced but a nice job. Inner fenders and door bottoms are fine and rust free. Door, runk and engine lid gaps are very nice. Chrome is not bad with a few worn spots. Most of the rubber seals are original and brittle. The old ivory respray has faded to flat chalky white with the original Aetna blue showing through. Lots of the original blue is visible in the engine area, runk, oor bottoms and jambs.

The interior is mostly original, he carpets look like they have been replaced at some point with original German square weave. Seats slide smooth and still have good support. Gauges all work as does the radio but the speakers are no good. Glass is nice and all original. Doors close with the Porsche click. Interior is not bad for 45 years old but it is just that, ld.

As the car had sat since 1986 the engine needed to be removed, leaned and resealed. All new parts came from Stoddard. The engine was found to be in excellent condition with even compression all around. Carburators were rebuilt, ll electrics were cleaned as well as the contacts. All lights work. Clutch, ressure plate and throw out bearing were replaced as well as resurfacing the flywheel. The transmission shifts smooth all through the gears. Gas tank was sent out to be cleaned and treated, ew petcock, ebuilt fuel pump, ll fuel lines were cleaned or replaced. All wheel cylinders were replaced with stoddard originals as well as the master cylinder. Car stops straight and quick. Steering and suspension were restored as well. The car tracks straight and has a fine ride. This Porsche is completely gone through mechanically, ll that is left would be the paint but this is as far as I wanted to take it. I like the rat look and after attending a few car shows in Southern California and hearing comments like, hat is that car a Karman Ghia, r wow it sure needs paint to don't touch a thing it looks great the way it is.

The car is available for viewing, ontact me through eBay. I have a photoshare with 200 detailed photos of every aspect of the car. Serious bidders contact me for the link. Know what your bidding on, his is a drivable project that has had all the mechanicals completed. I took great care to use all the original parts and hardware when possible, ost of the nuts and bolts were cleaned and treated the reinstalled in there original spots.
