1967 Porsche 911S Race Car with Bonus Extra 911S Motor
I am pleased to offer this 1967 Porsche 911S race car. Car lived most of it’s life in California and Florida but currently resides in Georgia. It was serviced in California by Andial and in Florida by Klubsport racing. Current owner has it serviced by MotorWerks in Georgia. It was converted to a race car almost from new and has been raced since. There is no evidence of any major damage to the car. It still has its original headlight buckets with the last 2 numbers of the VIN stamped on them. There are no historic log books included to indicated in which races this car participated – only past conversations with people that know the car. Current owner has not raced the car but only had it out on a few track days in the past 7 years. The motor has been refreshed with no hours driven since the refresh. Very fun to drive and have for a PCA/SCCA etc. track day event.

VIN # is 308470. There is a picture of the certificate of authenticity and Kardex in the picture section. Car is being sold with Bill of Sale only – no title is included. Car currently has a ’69 911T motor installed that has been race prepped and modified for racing.

As an added bonus:

Included with the ’67 911S race car will be this 1967 Porsche 911S engine # 960056 (56th 67S Motor) rebuilt. Excellent rebuilt 1967 911 S engine with many new components ready to install and complete less clutch. Starting from the middle and working out the motor has a STD/STD counter weighted crankshaft, block and genuine “S” matched rod set that were original to the engine. The crankshaft was magnafluxed and checked for straightness. The connecting rods were checked for straightness and had the big and small ends resized. The block is in excellent condition with standard size align bore with no repairs, pulled threads, or machined surprises. Where the intermediate shaft rides in the block was in very good specification as these early engines had no babbit type bearings there and the original intermediate shaft center was employed and the timing chain gears and the aluminum drive gear were replaced. All the main and rod bearings (Glyco) and rod bolts (Verbus) were replaced. The pistons and cylinders have been upgraded to original Mahle 2.2 liter 911S in 84MM bore size and the cylinder heads were replaced with genuine 2.2 911 S heads which had all the valve guides replaced with a complete set of new exhaust valves (Ate) and intake valves as needed for a complete valve job on the cylinder heads. Timing chains (Iwis) on the engine were replaced with original no master link chains and any gears that showed wear were replaced with new and the chain rails were replaced with the latest type chain guide rails. Original chain boxes and cam housings were retained as they were original to the engine and in very good condition with nice bores in the cam housings where the camshafts ride. The original 911 S camshafts were used as they are in very good condition and rocker arms were inspected and replaced as needed. The engine sheet metal is period correct to the engine and was powder coated as well as the fan shroud was replaced and painted with a very nice shroud. The motor has the original fan assembly with the original type Bosch 35 amp alternator. Carburetors were rebuilt and are Weber 40 IDA 3C-3C1 with the correct size 36 mm venturis and jets and the brass floats were replaced with all four floats in updated polyurathane foam that does not collapse like the old style floats. Intake manifolds are the original Porsche 911 S large port manifolds. The exhaust has been replaced with brand new heat exchangers and a very nice stainless steel Sport Muffler with twin outlets.
