Awesome Porsche 944! Very fun car to drive. Handles like a dream around turns and feels like it's on rails when you are cornering. The 1983 Porsche 944 was Car and Driver's Car of the year for 1983. These Porsche's were known for their handling because they were almost perfect 50/50 weight distribution (50.7% front/ 49.3 rear). This 944 is a 1983 but looks like an 86 turbo because the rear valance was installed and the entire front clip was replaced. The previous owner replaced these to make the car look like a turbo. They were not replaced because of an accident. The car is not perfect but looks and drives very well. It does need some work here and there. It leaks a small amount of oil (a few drops sitting in the garage like the size of a dime). The marker lights on the front are cracked, a couple of paint spots need touched up, small dent in passenger side door, small dent in hood, and plastic bumper piece is dented, also a scrape on the rear valance. Other than that small damage the car has never been in an accident and it has a clean Carfax and title. The car does have a clean title but the odometer only works about half of the time. The odometer needs to be fixed. The last 3 times I drove the car the odometer worked. So it does work just not all the time. This is a very common problem on these cars. There are plastic gears inside the odometer and the teeth can become brittle and brake off. So, the mileage is higher than stated. How many miles does the car have? I cannot tell you for certain the exact mileage but it's less than 110K. I have not put a lot of miles at all on this car. Maybe 5,000 miles in the 10 years that I have owned it. That is one of the reasons that I am selling this car. I just don't get to drive it that much and she wants to be driven!!......lol. This car is not a "project car" but does need some work. But you can still drive it and enjoy it while you are working on it. The car does come with the Fuch wheels. These rims are very expensive and a huge upgrade since they came on the 911's from the factory. These are authentic Porsche Fuchs! Not those replicas that you can buy. Overall very nice 944 that is now 36 years old. Great entry level Porsche!! Recently these cars have seen an increase in value and I think that they will continue to rise in value over the next few years. I really do not want to sell the car but like I said I don't drive it enough and I need the garage space. I wanted to be honest and transparent about this Porsche because obviously I want it to go to a good home and I want you to be happy. I have lowered the price and I think the reserve price is very, very reasonable for what you are getting. The last thing is if you want to get an even lower price I will drop the price even more if you don't want the Fuchs rims. I have another set of authentic Porsche rims for the car but they will need tires very soon. The VIN # is: WP0AA0944DN458740.
