This 1976 Porsche 912E is one of approximately 2,100 examples produced for a single model year. Less than 500 where made with Optional Electric Sunroof.The car was reportedly sold new in Augusta GA
The 2.0L flat-four was recently rebuilt The Fuel Injection was replaced with Dual Carbs and is mated to a 5-speed manual transaxle. This 912E is now being offered for sale and a clean Texas title.

Over the years, 912'S have become increasingly rare as many have been cannibalized for racing and for other models.!This 912 is best described as very straight and honest, example. A few pieces still need to be found to have it 100% complete. The interior also shows most of his components. Speaking cosmetically, detail aspects of the car such as; gauges, door jams, are present and all original.
While they provide opportunity for value added restorative work by the new owner. The engine bay is quite nicely preserved, with correct finished applied where appropriate, and many of the often missing or not original pieces are still in place on this example. The underside is functionally solid. The car sits on nice Fuches wheels, correct for a 76. Mechanically, the car retains its original engine and transmission. The suspension and steering box are operating properly. The brakes are complete.As a limited production car with several unique features, this example should appeal those looking for an inexpensive early Porsche to capitalize on the current upswing in the market for these cars while having a fun toy to tinker with.
