1981 Porsche 924 Turbo Coupe 2-Door

California car. Original miles. New timing belt. Anyone who has driven a manual shift Porsche 924 turbo knows how well they handle in the corners and how nice the turbo boost feels!

This 1981 Porsche 924 Turbo was sold new in California and purchased by me from a fellow Porsche enthusiast. The car is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four coupled to a 5-speed manual transaxle, and a June 2018 service included a new timing belt, tie rods, windshield washers, coolant, bulbs, and horn. This 924 reportedly shows 80k miles and is sold with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a Carfax report, recent service receipts, and a clean Massachusetts title in the seller's name.

Approximately 1,529 924 Turbos are believed to have been built from 1979-81, and this example is finished in Platinum Metallic (U1) with a removable sunroof. The paint shows several small chips and dings and is not perfect. Undercarriage is a California car standard condition. ATS "spiderweb" wheels are awesome and wear BFGoodrich tires.

The interior is finished in beige leatherette with brown trim. Flaws include dash cracks, tiny scrapes on the driver's door trim, and seat wear. The windshield washer system, horn and several interior bulbs were replaced in 2018. The factory radio has been upgraded with an aftermarket cassette stereo.

Operation of the gauges function properly. The 5-digit odometer is now reported to show approximately 80k miles, never driven in rain or snow always pampered in a garage..

The 2.0-liter four was fitted with a KKK K26 turbocharger from the factory and produced 149 horsepower in stock form. Power is transferred through a 5-speed manual transaxle mourned in the rear to provide 49/51 weight distribution. A new timing belt, tie rods, and coolant were installed in the last year.

The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity shows this car was originally sold in California in its current beautiful classic color combination.

Low Reserve! Great classic car. Never driven in rain or snow and always pampered. Even the antenna goes up and down with the radio. Love the NACA duct in the hood!
