1984 IRIS BLUE BACKDATED TARGA

Price: US $60,000.00 Item location: Newhall, California, United States
Description:

1984 Porsche 911

In order to pay for the rest of my school tuition, I am selling my beloved targa. The car is a 1984MY paint to sample iris blue metallic that has been back dated. I have extensive records for the car.
Every dime I have spent on this car has been stored in a large 3 ring binder. The records go back to 1983 when the car was purchased new.
It has about 164,XXX miles on the chassis. The engine was replaced with a rebuilt 3.2 euro spec engine, for which I have the receipt, build sheet, and photos. The engine has around 30k total miles
and does not smoke or drip. 915 was rebuilt and has about 10k miles on it, I also have the receipt and build sheet for this.
During my ownership I went a bit crazy turning this car into the ultimate open-air canyon cruiser. My goal was to strip as much weight as possible, without compromising the driving experience. I
replaced all the old carpet with light blue german square weave carpet with light gray leather edging. The same leather was also used to recover the dashboard, kneepad, rear speaker panel, rear side panels,
and to create new custom RS door cards. New speakers in the front door cards and in the rear, although I rarely used them. AC set-up was completely deleted and sold.
The rear seats were deleted. I installed the brushed aluminum Rennline floorboards as well as their adjustable gas pedal. A bolt in Das Sport roll bar was installed and painted the same color as the car.
Backdate was finished mid 2018 by Mid Cities Classics, a shop that specializes in fiberglass work, under guidance from Tom at Mayo Performance in Euless, TX. The car had complete glass out respray
in the original iris blue to complete the backdate. Fenders are steel, hood and front/rear bumpers are glass. The bumpers are from TRE and the hood is from GT Racing. There is no rust anywhere on this car.
Since arriving in California, I had the car dyno tuned by Steve Wong down at Game Face Motorsports. It made 221 HP and 199 tq at the wheels. It is currently chipped for 91 octane, but I have a
93 octane chip that is included in the sale if you wanted to swap it back over.
Obviously, this car is not currently CA SMOG legal. I considered switching back to stock and priced it out at around $700 for the OE exhaust setup.
I'll list the rest of the mods that i have made or added:
- M&K 3.2 headers and Dansk 2 in 2 out muffler
- Plugged and plated torsion bars from ER, 21mm in the front and 28mm in the rear
- ER polybronze front control arm bushings
- Turbo tie rods and new ball joints
- The whole wevo 915 shift kit
- Black powder coated BBS RS 16X8 front 16x9 rear with 24k Gold hardware, just rebuilt, wrapped in Toyo Proxes R888r with only a couple hundred miles on them.
- Refinished targa top
- New window/targa seals front and rear
- Rennline front strut brace
- Green dot Talbot mirror
- Passenger side mirror delete
- Antenna hole delete
- H4 conversion
- Turn signal/high beam relay
- MSDS Intake
- Original seats have been recovered in interior original color
There's probably more I'm just forgetting. Ill keep editing as i remember. I have meticulously recorded everything from oil changes to gas mileage and have a 3-ring binder for every dime I've spent.
Also have maintenance records dating back to early 90's.
