Description:

1985 Porsche 928 S

The car was purchased in 2014 from Florida where it was being used as a daily driver. My intent was to fully restore it but have only made partial progress. I am selling as I no longer have the time to continue the restoration and haven't put many miles on the vehicle in the last 2 years. The car runs and drives fine. I drove it home from Florida to Indiana and wouldn't have any concerns driving it any distance. The car's original exterior color was burgundy. One of the previous owners had it painted gray and while the paint isn't the best it does looks OK from 10'. The are several chips and blemishes but that isn't unexpected with the mileage.I had the timing belt, tensioner and water pump replaced in 2014.I initially focused on the interior having the seats recovered and the interior re-carpeted. The dash and pod were replaced with a fiberglass version. All the interior lights including the instrument cluster were converted to LED.The brakes were converted to S4 4-piston Brembo calipers. An X-pipe exhaust was added which should bump the horsepower to 300+.I have a new powdercoated intake that will be provided - I never found the time to replace the existing that was starting to flake paint. I also have several parts and oil filters that are included with the sale. I have the clear title in hand. I have maintenance records from the previous owner starting in 2005 and my own records and receipts from 2014 until now.
In the interest of full disclosure these are items I didn't get around to fixing:
There is a small oil leak around the pan and the engine mounts need refreshing. The air conditioner doesn't work - all the parts appear to be there but I hadn't dug into the issue. The cruise control doesn't work - not uncommon with this model. The sunroof electrical does not work. I'm sure it could be manually cranked open but I never tried. The side view mirror controls don't work - they need to be adjusted manually. There is a very small drain in the electrical system. I replaced the relay panel but still haven't found the drain. It takes about 4 weeks to drain the battery if the car isn't used so I added a quick disconnect to the battery. The rear interior side panels are a little warped and some of the interior door trim needs attention around the windows.
$500 is due within 48 hours through Paypal with the remainder in cash or cashier's check when picking up the vehicle.I'd be happy to answer any questions
