Welcome. You have the opportunity to bid on a no reserve auction for a 1968 911s Targa. I have put a link to photobucket that contains over 125 pictures and videos of the car.

History: I was told this car was a 2 owner car. The first owner purchased it new in Europe and sold it in the 80's. It was purchased by a California owner who imported the car to Northern California. It has remained in Northern California by the same owner until recently.

VIN: 11850437 (Real 1968 European 911s targa)

Color Code: 6809 (Tangerine Orange)

Engine Number: 911425 (Alloy 2.0 1967 Engine)

Transmission Number: 902/1 237025 (5 Speed)

Exterior: This car was originally painted Tangerine orange from the factory. It has been repainted metallic blue. This car does have rust issues as seen in the pictures. Most of the rust lives in the floor pan. There appears to have been some rust repairs in the floor pan in the past and they were not done by a professional. This car was in Europe from 1968-1980's and the harsh weather climate explains why there is rust in the floor. This car still has its original glass, original rear hard window (with factory vertical defroster). In the past this car has been fitted with steel RS flares This car would be a great project to repair the floor pa, replace the rear fender flares and return to its factory tangerine orange color..

Interior: This car does retain most of its original 68S interior bits. This car has all of its original European S gauges (except) the Speedometer. It still has its original S trim and factory switches. The seats and front door panels have been changed. This still has its original targa top. This car still has its factory Webasto heater in the smugglers box.

Engine/Transmission: The original Magnesium case more than likely failed during its early years as so many have. This car has been replaced with a 1967 911 aluminum case engine with Webers 40's. This engine has been rebuilt recently. It has new SSI heat exchangers and a new muffler. This car starts right up and sounds great. It revs smoothly and does not show any sign of leaks. This engine appears to be in very good mechanical condition. I have taken several videos of the car starting and running. This car has been sitting for a short period of time and could carburetor tuning/service before driving.

Overall: This is a great chance to purchase a real SWB 911s targa. This car great potential as it could be a great car to restore to original S specs, turn into a daily driver, or create the early SWB targa of your liking. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
