1962 Porsche 356 Super Coupe - Just Restored - Beautiful - No Reserve !

The car has only a few miles since the full restoration was completed but it has been fully sorted with the intention of being totally trouble free. Show it, drive it, or both.

This car is gorgeous inside and out. This one has been restored by a shop with 30 years Porsche 356 restoration experience. The methods used assure that the restoration will be durable. No shortcuts were taken. There are no thick blobs of Bondo covering rust or poor metal repairs. The details are correct like how the rubber door seals are cut and fitted or the thickness of the dash pad or how the upholstery of the dash pad gets tucked into the door seal. The correct screws and bolts are in the correct positions. The gaps at the doors and lids are fantastic and every panel lines up correctly. As Porsche 356s go this car was in very good condition before the restoration. It was never separated from the engine and gearbox showing that it was always too nice to consider being just a parts car like so many 356s being restored these days. For decades owners kept good care of this 356 and the final reward was that it was chosen for a proper restoration to live again as a brand new car.

Another way that this 356 shines is the way it drives. The gearbox is the best of all the many 356s that I have driven. The engine has wonderful torque and absolutely no hiccups and revs freely to redline. There is a very minor puff of smoke on cold start up but the piston rings are still being broken in. The dual circuit braking system stops strong and straight and smooth. All the gauges work and the seats feel wonderful to sit in. The suspension and steering is true to the feel of a new car. The doors close with a solid "clunk" like a 356 should. It really is a new car, a "new" 1962 Porsche 356 Super coupe.

The Hagerty valuation for this car is #1 $131,000 and #2 $96,600 based on their analysis of actual market prices paid. I feel that this car is fully capable of being competitive at a PCA Parade concours therefore #1 value is warranted. It is clearly much better than a #2 car. I am offering the car at no reserve starting at Hagerty #2 value or choose the buy it now price that is quite reasonable. There is absolutely no possible way to buy a project car and restore it to this level and spend less than my buy it now price. These are very labor intensive cars to restore correctly which is why so many "restored" cars listed for sale are so clearly sub-standard.

I encourage you to do an inspection and you will not be disappointed. The car is superb.
