1957 Porsche OtherAfter seeing this tractor displayed in the Porsche museum in Stuttgart, Germany I sought out the very best version of it and purchased it. It starts immiedately and operates flawlessly in every way. It has been restored by Porsche Diesel USA and is collector quality. These rarely come on the market and seldom if ever are they museum quality. It has the correct Porsche gauges and lights. New glow plugs, fluids, electrical rewired, full restoration as seen by the photos. It was in a tractor museum on the east coast for a long time prior to my ownership. I have all of the english manuals and spare parts manuals and some manuals in German. Dimensions for shipping purposes are: 122"x 66"x 66"
ThePorsche P 122was atractorofPorsche-Diesel MotorenbauGmbH, which had its headquarters inFriedrichshafenon Lake Constance and took over the tractor production ofAllgaier Werkefrom 1956 to 1957, with about 5800 copies of the tractor model were produced. The Porsche P 122 was the predecessor model of thePorsche Standard 208.
The 1485kgPorsche Tractor had an air-cooledtwo-cylinder enginewith 16 kW, 1644 cc and 2000 / min, which was designed as a 4-stroke inlinevortex chamber-diesel engine. In addition to thecrawl, which allowed a particularly slow ride, the Porsche P 122 had atransmissionwith five forward gears and one reverse gear.Depending on thetires ofthe rear wheels, the Porsche tug could thus reach speeds of up to 28.2km / hin forward gear and 3.6 km / h in reverse. The tractor's gearbox was equipped with either a Getrag gearbox or an ZF gearbox. In addition, the P 122 had adifferentiallock, which should preventthe spinning of the tires in poortraction. With the foot-operatedinner shoe brakethe tractor could be braked on the rear wheels. The reliableoil bathfilter also filtered out the foreign particles from theair sucked inby theenginein an oil bath.Furthermore, the Porsche P 122 had a lockable and independenthandbrakethat braked the transmission.Thesteering brakeThe tractor braked the inner wheels, resulting in a smaller turningradius.
A remote thermometer, which showed the temperature of the engine in the driver's console under the steering wheel, was standard equipment. In addition, a hydraulicpower liftwith three-point hitch or amower could beordered asan option.
