1972 Porsche 911 Coupe

This is a beautiful 911E in original condition. It has the 2.4 E motor which has higher torque and horsepower than the standard T model. I purchased this car in Colorado in 1982 and moved it to New Jersey in 1985 and kept it garaged. It was not a daily driver, but mostly driven in nice weather to PCA events on weekends and to a few Porsche Parades. The car has been sitting in the garage during the last 10 years, being driven infrequently. A mouse built its nest under the housing, so I removed the injection pump and housing to remove the nest. After re-installing the pump and, I've not been able to get the car to run correctly.
The original silver metallic paint had a clear coat that was peeling, so I had it repainted in about 1984. The dash was cracked, so I replaced it at that time. The motor was repaired (top end work) prior to my purchase and I had the chain tensioners updated to oil fed in about 1984. I removed the air conditioner components, installed a sealed deep cycle battery in the front trunk area (I got tired of replacing the dual batteries every two years), and the front brake calipers were "borrowed" for use in a race car, so the car has the standard T calipers. Apart from these changes and the removal of the heating tubes, which can be replaced, there are no other changes to this car. All the interior and exterior trim are original and the car experienced no body damage what-so-ever. All the gauges work, except for the clock and the odometer. The odometer reading is 87,190, but I estimate that the car has about 90,000 miles on it.
To the best of my knowledge, there is only one rust spot, which is on the driver side sill near the rear wheel well which is shown in the pictures.
