1969 Porsche 911 Vintage Racecar
This car has been completely restored from bare metal and was finished in spring of 2015. Absolutely everything was rebuilt, refurbished, restored or completely new. Everything was done to the highest standard and no small details were overlooked. The car ran 4-5 race weekends in the 2015 and 2016 and then has sat unused since the end of the 2016 season. The entire car has only approximately 8 hours of track time on it since the build was completed. The car has been 100% reliable, is VERY fast and truly race ready.
Here area some of the details:
- Roll cage is 1 1/2" D.O.M, TIG welded- New Pyrotect fuel cell- Halon fire system- 10,000 rpm tach- 911R style door handles- Aluminum door panels powdercoated black wrinkle- Driver's side and passenger side matching Sparco seats- Momo Prototipo steering wheel- 915 transmission with WEVO internal shift gate installed- Suspension completely rebuilt with all sandblasted and powdercoated parts- Dual front oil coolers with Elephant Racing RSR style hard oil lines in the front trunk area, and custom stainless steel hard lines installed inside the right rocker with the thermostat in the right rear wheel well.- 911S steel front bumper- All plastic windows- Seat belts are good through the end of 2018- Tarret front and rear adjustable sway bars- Restored 15x7" Fuchs
The engine was built by Monty at Redmond European and dyno tested and tuned at RPM Enterprises both in Redmond, WA. The details of the engine build and dyno results sheet can be discussed further for buyers with serious interest only. It makes 253hp and 218lbft. of torque. The car is very fast and ready to run at the front of the grid.
The project started with an extremely straight and clean 1969 912 tub which still has a clear Washington State title that is included with the car. The areas that had rust were in the front suspension pan area, a small area at the driver's side floor board, both headlight buckets and the leading edge hood seal area. All the areas can be seen in the photos in the link below. The entire car was sandblasted to bare metal, all rust repair and body modifications were completed and then the entire interior, front trunk area, engine bay, underside, doors and fenders were all powdercoated. The paint is excellent and has been cut and buffed to a very nice finish.
