1975 Porsche 914 Appearance Group

This car is such a blast to drive hard-914s just are! It has such great balance. I am amazed at how much I love it. This highly original 914 is like every good 914--sturdy, responsiv, fun, -- a no nonsense good time. It has brand new BF Goodrich G-force sport comp 2 tires all around, in the size of 195/55 15. These tires are sticky and helps it stick like glue on the curves. Driving it just gives me a lot of joy and pleasure! Mileage is not quite original as it required a new odometer at 1801 miles in 10/20/1976, as evidenced in the original owners manual. This gorgeous 914 was sold new on 9/26/1975 at Masterson Porsche and Audi in Ventura, California. It drives like new and has obviously been well cared for and used sparingly. It has the appearance group option which includes the center console and middle pocket. The interior is soooo original. The floor mats have a slight hole on the drivers side. There are a couple of tears on the center upholstery, however the seats are terrific. The dash is gorgeous and looks new. All the internal fabric looks original, and the passenger side door card has a few cracks, however still looks great.
The engine idles nicely, and pulls strong to redline. The brakes work great, and the car just passed a vehicle inspection here in Utah. The transmission shifts well and there is no grinding or odd noises. All the lights and horn work, including the interior light. The oil temperature gauge does not register. The car tracks straight and true, and the tach, as well as speedometer work perfect. This vehicle could be driven home, if you desire, wherever you live, or I will assist international buyers in loading on a transport.
The most striking part of this car is the color! It is color code L95K, which is called Palma Green Metallic. It is a 1975 only color. It is rare. An official statement from a Porsche representative said that not too many metallics were sold. As there were only 6512 1.8 Liter targa 914s produced it is unusual. 914s have just started to be appreciated! A recent sale of a low mileage 914 1975 1.8 liter at auction produced a result over $90,000. Hagerty lists this car at #3 good at $10,700, and an excellent example at $17,400. So you can buy it for a fraction of the price paid at auction. In my opinion this car is closer to excellent than to good. It does have a very high quality base coat clear coat respray in the original color. The door jams, trunk, and front trunk all retain the original paint. The paint reflects well, please review the photos, and pay attention to the reflections in the paint. There are a few blemishes. There is roughly a two inch scratch on the lower passenger quarter panel. The driver side sun visor is original and has a few cracks, and should be recovered. There is no jack or tool kit. The car does have A/C, however the front trunk was cut to accommodate the condenser. This is normal for an A/C car, however some purists may not like this. There is primer paint in the rear part of the trunk, where there was surface rust. No perforations, just good to know. There are two small tears in the center console backrest. The oil temp gauge is non-operational. The floor mats are original and the driver side has a hole.
