1984 Porsche 944 Base Coupe 2-Door

Selling my personal 1984 944 5 speed with nice black cloth script seats & a very nice interior. There are a few seam rips in the drivers seat base. I've put a lot of money into this car in the past few years I've owned it & will take a loss. This is not a junk project Porsche, it was driven regularly until about 6 months ago. The only reason I'm not currently driving it is because I now have an '87 944 I drive.
I put a clutch in it last year & replaced the loud muffler. I also replaced the pitted windshield with a new one about 6 months ago, but a crack has developed on the bottom part of the drivers side, (below the view though.)
It has very nice matching Yokohama AS-430 tires on nice original 911 "cookie cutter" rims, with plenty of tread. No unusual noises, etc. Older AM/FM stereo. Power windows. The blinkers (turn signals) don't blink, they just light solid, but no one uses them anyway.... The brake lights work fine. Removable power sunroof that works perfectly. Power steering. It has cruise control, but I can't get it to work. There are minor chips & door dings that you'd expect in a car this age.
The timing belts & water pump were inspected & in good order. Change them if you'd like, but they are free of cracks & in good shape. I'm certain this car was garaged for a long time, as the battery box is in very nice condition with NO RUST HOLES! The paint is decent, but not perfect. There is some paint fading on the hood and roof. The nose panel had a lot of chips &; was resprayed with a very similar red paint. It looks like at some point the drivers side rear quarter panel & rear was resprayed. Very strong compression figures on the cylinders, all over 150lbs. I installed KONI shocks on the rear less than a year ago. New fuel pump. The front end suspension is tight & needs nothing. Power steering. Dash is cracked, but comes with a dash pad. The pop-up headlights just quit coming up automatically just recently & have to be raised & lowered manually. Its pretty easy to do with a knob you turn. I'll look into it to see if I can figure it out, but I want to be as accurate as possible with the description.
I have a Georgia Title to this car in my name, not just a bill of sale. I can share a copy of the CarFax that shows 21 years of data if you'd like. Its been registered in north Georgia all that time.
I've been putting off selling this car, as I really like it, but I have a '91 944 cabriolet project I really want to get back on the road & selling this one should fund the completion of the convertible. I would not think twice about jumping in this car & taking a long road trip.
I had a 100% feedback until someone I sold some old aircraft mufflers to expected something like new & when I called him out on it, he left negative feedback. Go figure. Bound to happen after 11 years, I guess. If you have a zero feedback, please understand your bid may be cancelled unless you contact me.
As a hobby, I buy & restore Porsche 944's & have had 42 of them over the past 12 years (a few I've purchased back after buyers neglected them.)
I will add more to the description & a few more photos soon. I welcome any questions & will promptly respond with answers. Good luck with your bid!
