| 1957 PORSCHE 356A COUPEBEAUT, SIMPLICITY AND PURITY IN DESIGN 1957 Porsche 356A coupe . Just recently removed from 10 years dry storage . This is a very late Type T, built approximately March of 1957 . The rear teardrop lights are original and correct and all other T1 features are present such as 5 bolt door striker, the ash tray in the dash and the horizontal inside door handles / window winders . A lovely black on black ca, it is not currently running yet and in need of some recommissioning but it is very rust fre, straight and pretty . The car was driven into storage and has not been touched since . We have not even polished i, just washed the dust off and photographed . Due to current time constraint, it will be offered here one time only in "As Found" condition and if it does not sel, we will over the winter months fully sort it and it will go to the Amelia Island auction in spring of 2017 , s, a great opportunity if you have been looking for this this type of car . The current mileage reads 2648, but the true mileage is unknown .The car previous to going into storag, had a new sport muffler and chrome wheels and tires . Included with it will be a brand new German square weave carpet kit in tan and new correct off white headliner (current headliner is fine but is incorrect black) . We also have to go with it the original Blaupunkt radio and an owners manual but no tools other than the jack . It would requir, at a minimu, the flushing / cleaning of fluids and the fuel syste, a new battery and the braking systems checked . The engine has clean oil and turns freely . It has a brake pedal and working clutch and rolls freely .The car originally was delivered from the factory in black . It was repainted about 20 years ago and it does show some imperfections which you can see in the thumbnail photos . There are some small bubbles in the paint in the common spot at the rear of the front fenders but these were there when it was stored and have not changed since . Generall, the car still has a good appearance overall and shows quite well . It would really benefit from a good buff and detail and would be perfectly presentable as a nice quality driver . The interior upholstery is excellent . All of the chrome and alloy brightwork is quite nice also and even the side window chrome is very goo, which if you have restored any 356', will know is a big job and expensive to make correct . The current engine in the car is # 610653 and it has Weber carburetors on it for a bit of a performance kick . The Solex originals are also included . Overal, in the right hand, this car has great potential and if you are familiar with "A" coupe, you will see that right away . These early coupes never go out of style and have always been extremely desirable .
