Description:

1987 Porsche 911 G50 Coupe

This Guards Red 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera is a nice example of a popularly sought out G50 coupe.

The car has just received a full top end rebuild at Franz Blam Racing, a well respected Porsche repair shop in Atlanta, and the motor performs flawlessly.

Also, there was a very recent $4,000 service, which for the most part consisted of exterior cosmetic improvements. The maintenance included:

New complete headlight assembly

New front spoiler lower rubber

New door seals

New rocker panel decor rubbers

New door glass seals

New alternator

New fan housing

The original interior has been nicely preserved, with the leather seats retaining their classic sheen and impression. The dashboard is scuff free and all the components, including the original Blaupunkt radio and the AC are fully functional. The carpeting is clean and the headliner is as new.

Performance wise, this G50 coupe is very solid. Besides the top end rebuild, the car has received a major mechanical overhaul less than 5,000 miles ago at Brumos Porsche. The 3.2-litre engine is dry and everything works in a synchronized manner as it should. This service mainly consisted of:

New seals

New bearings

New oil lines

New fuel line

New belts

New clutch

New distributor cap and plugs

Rebuilt brake calipers

New brake discs and pads

Overall, this ’87 Carrera is a nice air cooled Porsche that will not disappoint in its performance and drivability! It is a clean Carfax car that comes with its original tools, spare tire, tire jack, and air compressor.

It is also nice to know that this car for the vast majority of its life was owned by one person, who purchased it with only 6,000 miles on the odometer and finally sold it in March of this year.
