1964 Porsche 356
I am selling this for a friend. This is a stunning totally restored 1964 Porsche 356C Coupe. The vin is 216431, the engine number is 711552, and the paint code number is 6407 which is Signal Red. This is a matching number car restored in it's original color. The interior was redone with the correct materials including a new German square weave carpet set, new headliner, new correct seat covers, door panels, and interior rear panels from Autos International. The dash was also recovered. A new front windshield, front and rear windshield mouldings, and all body seals and rocker decos and bumper decos were replaced with new parts. The door window and rear quarter window frames were re-chromed. The dash is original and uncut. The floors are original. There is an Alpine CD player installed in the glove box with a power inverter. The car retains it's original 6 volt configuration. The engine has 7400 miles on a complete rebuild including new Mahle pistons and cylinders (not Chinese junk), new valve guides, intake valves, push rod tubes, German main and rod bearings, oil pressure relief pistons and springs, clutch etc. The rebuild included a complete valve job, crankshaft servicing, connecting rod rebuilding, and balancing of all of the reciprocating parts. The fuel pump was also rebuilt. All engine hardware was re-plated or the correct silver cadmium finish and all of the engine sheet metal was powder coated to the correct colors. The wheels are re-chromed original Porsche wheels that are 5 1/2 X 15. We have receipts for over $68,000 not including the purchase price of the car for repair, rebuild, and restoration that go with the car. There are also pictures of the body restoration. This vintage 356 runs great, shifts great, and goes down the road like a dream. You will not be disappointed. You are encouraged to come drive and inspect it before the end of the auction. Due the age of this car, it is being sold as is, as shown. The buyer is responsible for shipping or pick up. A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of the close of the auction. The balance is due within 7 days of the close of the auction. The deposit and only the deposit is payable by PayPal. Due to the proliferation of forged bank checks, the balance must be paid by bank transfer. There are no exceptions. I can store the car inside for up to 30 days after the close of the auction as long as the payments are made adhering to the above time table.
