It's a matching number Vin to Engine, motor has been rebuilt, new exhaust, Sachs clutch assembly, and original carbs rebuilt. The carbs are factory Solex and need adjusted. The rebuild has only 500 miles at a cost of over $12,000 all receipts will be supplied. This car is very original it is not restored, except for a older paint and changed steering wheel. I might have the original wheel. Correct air cleaners and hoses, rebuilt fuel pump, and the correct factory Bosch distributor rebuild from Klassic rebuilds in AZ.
This car was built on 9/1965 but is title a 1966 model. Rare 3 gauge car with a older patina paint work. I see no rust but notice the front hood has been closed on something and caused the paint to chip, as seen in photos. Also the front dam has a small ding in the bottom pan. Seems original pans and undercoating from factory. The sheet metal caps are nice, chrome is good, tires are new but are a size larger then factory.
VIN. 451697ENG. 743157Color. 6602 Polo Red
Factory 128 fogs, RARE A/C, some parts not on the car like compressor, but have it, 5 speed, correct chrome wheels and hubs. A very nice SWB car and a joy to drive. Interior is good for its age, no tears in seats but a little soft, new carpet and headliner, good door panels, glass and dash.
Please ask questions. I have owned the car for years and decided to sell it being retired. Unfortunately, like many projects the car sat for years, then I decided to get it running (#4 piston ring) ...now I need space, losing storage in a move.
Car sold As Is Where Is, with no warranty.
