1978 Porsche 911 Targa Backdate RSR Widebody
1978 911SC Targa Backdate to 73’ RSR Outlaw
Starting life as a rust free galvanized chassis'd SC targa this car has undergone a complete transformation to the much desired longhood widebody RSR. This is a very lightweight purpose built hotrod with a serious heart! Track or street this 911 is ready to be enjoyed, his is a fully sorted car with big money spent… save yourself half the money and time and buy one done. Very rarely do you see targas outlawed and backdated and this body style is starting to become very desired as even Porsche is chasing the look with their new 991.
Car has been repainted in Baltic blue from its original olive green. Fitted with fiberglass bumpers, ood, ecklid, nd flares this is a very lightweight 911. Also, very rare factory fiberglass top comes with the car. Car has signs of wear throughout but shows very well.

Engine was built by Rennwork in New York about 5k miles ago… Very fresh 3.2 Carrera motor out of an 86’ that pulls hard all the way to 7k rpms and revs like a motorcycle. Brand new Sachs high performance clutch was installed during engine refreshment. The 915 transmission shifts decently, econd gear is a little tricky and may grind at times but not to bad, ont have any issues once you get used it.
The car has some minor ods and ends, t is a hotrod and not a trailer queen… its tons a fun and after 10 minutes behind the wheel you are hooked. Always looking for other cars to buy or trade… if you have something interesting call me.
