1977 Pontiac Trans Am Velour

1977 Pontiac Trans Am restoration project. BID TO BUY NO RESERVE!This is a factory code 19 black 1977 trans am. Came with rare black velour interior. Also a/c, tilt wheel, decor group trim on top doors and rain gutters. And usual trans am options. Not sure if y84 bandit, never sent Phs. Has gold arrow on nose. Has 8" snowflakes. This car was purchased from a friend who's son passed. The car has been off the road since 1996 it looks like. He said original engine blew at that time and they installed a 76 350. It has 1967 gto #670 heads high compression big valves. Appears to be original carb and intake when I ran the numbers. I changed oil and fuel pump, got car running.engine sounds good no noises. No battery used my other cars. Trans will not go in gear, I added fluid... brakes are soft, I replaced master cylinder but could not get them to bleed well. Tires are old and no good, but hold air to transport.Body. Unfortunately the car sat outside he said for last 7 or 8 years, and water leaked in and rear floors and pass front are soft. Also both lower rear quarters. Trunk floor has several holes also, solid in hinge area. One fender I see pin holes starting, doors starting bubble in corners not to bad. All damage from wet and not northern salt roads. Doors shut like a new car all flares and front spoiler look great! I removed front so wouldn't get damaged in shipping amazingly! Behind rear bumper and frame rails look very solid! Besides engine swap car still mostly original has y pipe and cat still installed.Dash cracked, pass seat tracks broken in front.. You could swap a trans fix brakes and tires and drive as is, or do complete bandit restoration! Ask questions if serious. Please dont bid unless you have funds and transport setup, no time wasters pipe dreamers. After non refundable deposit of $500. Car can sit here for 2 weeks if necessary. I'm flexible with transporters when you arrange them to come.
