History of the car
Was told the car was originally from Californi, as purchased buy its second owner and then relocated to Arizona for most of its lif, rd owner purchased the car and relocated to North Carolina around 2005 and was slated to get restored buy its owner .... Owner had other more importantcommitmentsso the Tempest was put on the back burner until a later date..... on his property out of the elements for most of the 10 years he owned it........ it was then Moved outside to pole barn within the last year due to the need for space in the garage.....I was in the right place at the right time and purchased the vehicle from him and restored it to its current level ..... Have all photos of the car before and after ...... all of the documentation on all of the repairs completed ....... This car looks and sounds great .....
What i can tellyou of the car
Super solid and super straight body pretty much rust free car when i purchased it,some surface rust but it was mostly just covered in dust and debris ...... I have provided link to photos andvideos of the entire restoration of the car ( please feel free to ask anything you want or any pics you require ) This car was super clean before we even started the project
Drive-Train
Original 326 engin, speed Automatic Tran, 0 bolt posi Differential assemblyDisc brake front / Drumsduels with glass packs
Exterior Body
Block sanded the entire vehicl, epaired the minor imperfections such as shopping cart and door dings typical parking lot stuf, o metal or sheet metal work needed ..... see the pics it was just amazingly clean
epoxy primed // mek primed // sealed // base coat applied silver sikkens paint // second base coat is sikkens custom blue // 4 coats of clear-coat applied to the vehicle // wet sanded and re-shot with an additional 4 coats of clear ...... it really pops see pics its a candy blue / silver effect.
Refinished the exterio, amb, nterior component, nder hood and under trunk ( see pics )
Polished the chrome and stainless // and emblems and logos // refinished the grill assembly
wet sanded and buffedcompletely
New front windshield
Chrome on the car is original polished out great see pics
Seals look great were replaced already
Engine and Trans

New carpetnew dash padthe seats and door panels did not need to be replaced so we just cleaned them u, the seat backs werefinished to match the seat better and the chrome piping was replaced on the seats it was peelingbase interior components and upper door were painted to match carlight blue around dash was painted to match seatsstockgaugesand idiot lights all seem to work ( except clock )new armrestnew steering wheelnew door sill platesfloors were solid with all of the original tar panels in their original place see pics
Under- Car
CleanFrame looks solid and unmolested solidbrake lines and fuellineslook goodfront end feels solidrear end and bushings look goodnot much was done to the bottom of the car just washed ( see pics )
Whats Left
Radio original was going to upgrade to xm or sirrus stylewindow run channels,new outer seals installed but run channels should be replacedclock does not workhvac cablesdisconnected was gonna install gen v vintage air in springrear and front ashtrays.... if you plan on smoking in the carneeds seat belts aftermarket ones came with the car was looking for matchingreplacementsanything else you want to do or change to make it your ownI'msure i missed something so if you have a question about anything please ask
