Description:

1962 Pontiac Grand Prix

I have owned this car for 22 years now. It was a 10 year labor of love to turn it into the award winning show stopper. I built this car with the sole purpose of being a dependable street cruiser. I love going to car shows and cruise ins and seeing heads turn. It runs on 93 octane pump gas. No high priced race gas needed. Very street able, very friendly driver. Comfortable bucket seats were recovered in green tweed with grey leather inserts. Power comes from a modified Pontiac 455, coupled to a 3 speed turbo 400 automatic. Rear wheel wells were opened to accommodate the large Mickey Thompson tires. Many hours were spent on getting the body ready to accept the PPG Electric Green Metallic paint. All of the bright work has been re-chromed or polished. New front windshield, door glass, vent windows.

Car weight is 3450 lbs.

Motor made 550 HP and 580 ft lb torque on engine dyno.

Shortly after completion it was the cover and feature car in High Performance Pontiac magazine. All of the details can be read here.
