1968 Pontiac Le Mans Hardtop

I have an Original 1968 Pontiac Le man's 2 Door Hardtop Coupe for sale. This Le man's has Unbelievable Floors/Floor braces/Cowl/Package Tray/Interior for being over 50 years old now! A great Start/Foundation on a build for a classic car! This is an Original Paint Code Y - Y Mayfair maze exterior with a Yellow Roof Top color and now has a Black Vinyl top and it came with a factory interior trim code #223 Black interior with Bucket seats and a Automatic Floor shift Console that has the 68 GTO Hurst His/hers shifter added to it. This interior is in very good condition but the drivers seat does have a tear from wear and the dash pad has cracks in it. The headliner/door panels/passenger/rear seats/console and seat belts are all in real nice condition! This car has been tucked away in a garage since the late 1990's until now! The Original 350ci YN engine Code #9790079 Cast GM Block and has #17 Cylinder Heads 9.2 Compression and a Two Barrel Carb that made 265 factory Horse Power from the factory. This 68 Le man's starts and runs very well! and is paired up with it's 350 3 speed auto transmission. This Coupe has most of it's original Stainless Chrome all in very good condition! Also has a nice set of Rally II 15 x 6 KG Coded Rims from a newer Firebird. This Le mans does have Front Disc Brakes and Power Steering. I acquired this 68 Poncho with the Front Nose off the car and the two Original Fenders & Wheel wells missing and a few chrome pieces also. I had a couple of straight Original fenders hanging around that need work but are very usable for this restoration classic. Nothing better than Original GM Fenders! I am Putting on an Original GTO GM Hood that also is in usable condition! You are getting the Original to the car Flat Le mans hood with the purchase of the car! The original Radiator support still will need some work done to it in my opinion. The Prior owners repaired it but can be a lot better! It appears the cars body was lifted off the frame at some time with new Body bushings installed when off the road. There was Some front end work also done to it! I can not stress how solid this 1968 Pontiac Le man's Body and frame are in!! This is one solid Pontiac Coupe! The glass on this Car also is in very nice condition! The windshield has a tiny chip in it. All windows roll down and up nicely! The doors had some work done years ago and are not perfect but workable and the rear Quarter Panels also had some Patch work done but will need work or replace? All depends on what you are going to do and how far to take this Classic car! The front Chrome bumper is nice and straight! The front valance and parking/signal lights are in solid condition! The rear bumper is decent but was tapped on the drivers side lower. The upper vinyl top appears to have been replaced years ago? With the Original Vinyl chrome trim is missing and was replaced with plastic/rubber aftermarket cheap parts. It does show some pimples and is silicone'd around the rear window and front windshield areas and I believe, doing so has made this coupes body/Package tray area & trunk floor staying solid over the 50 plus years! This is not a Mint or Perfect 1968 Pontiac Le man's! But has a lot of Plus's with some minuses but nothing major and will make a great project or GTO Clone. It is a driver and does start nicely and shifts good but will need to be towed! Tires do show a little dry rot and are Bias poly tires. The brakes do need attention from sitting and I would not take any chances on driving it on the road yet! 1968's in this condition with it's floors/frame/cowl/package tray area do not come up to often especially with these area's being the major problems for this Le mans/Tempest/Gto Body style for rusting! No disappointments on this 1968 Pontiac Le mans 2 door Coupe! This car has two Raceway at Englishtown, NJ. class winner stickers still on the rear driver side quarter window from being there at one time in it's life. I wish I could tell you more on this 1968 Pontiac le man's history! but, I can only explain it now the way the car sit's. All questions are welcome! Serious inquires and bidders please only. Not looking to give this car away but would like to see it get in the right hands for it's next adventure back to the road! I will oversee loading of the car for it's transportation and all scheduling and cost's are on the Buyer! This 1968 Pontiac Le man's will be sold with a Connecticut Bill of Sale and it's last known NY Registration Card. Thanks!
