Rare, original, numbers matching, PHS documented 1974 Trans Am SD-455 ordered with rare Cordova top. Fully documented with owner history from new.

Highly documented rotisserie restoration performed with the SD-455 engine update modifications were performed using "H-O Racing Specialties" specific SD455 high lift camshaft with specs matching Pontiac's famous Ram Air IV.

H-O also provided the push rods and full -roller rocker arms with 1.65 ratio. Engine still retains its standard bore "TRW" pistons Pontiac provided. Recently freshened up with new rod and main bearings, new Melling oil pump(SD 455 specific) and freshened cylinder heads. Original carb re-calibrated for engine modifications.

This SD-455 is equipped with the original Turbo Hydramatic 400 transmission, an upgraded 3.42 rear axle, power steering and brakes, & factory AC.

The 1974 Pontiac Trans Am Super Duty 455 cars were the very last of the high performance cars from the '70s and the history of the Super Duty is legendary.
