CA car, original family owned - grandpa bought it new.

Price: US $5,000.00 Item location: Danville, California, United States
Description:

1967 Pontiac Grand Prix

One family owner very original except what looks like one repaint in the original gold color. 400, TH400 auto, power windows, power drum brakes (all new but sitting so the drums likely have surface rust), factory air.
Here is the story: I had this car running well about 8 years ago until it spun a rod bearing shortly after it was warmed up and as I was checking for leaks. It was running so well, gas tank was clean, gauges worked, cooling system holding pressure, no leaks, the tranny went into both forward and reverse gears then just like that it started knocking but only long enough for me to reach through the window to shut it off. From that point I pulled the engine and tranny for the obvious refresh but eventually the owner bailed on the project for financial reasons. So it just sat in the current disassembled condition for years and now he decided to sell. All parts are accounted for and a CD with about 100 pics detailing the engine removal will be provided. Note the originality of this car down to the factory metal lines on the engine and the carb tag showing an A7 date code. What is believed to be the original double redline spare is in the trunk with the fender skirts. This is a very complete and original car rarely found these days that is very solid and looks like it's never beet hit or had any major body work done.

Forgot to note the title may be lost but will check with the owner. This car hasn't left my possession in at least 8 years and I can verify that it's off the computer prior to sale. Otherwise I can sell it on a bill of sale or if need be I'll title it in my name then sell. VIN tag and body data plate in place as they should be. I do plan to send the plates back to the owner for sentimental reasons unless he says they can go with the car.
