The car was easily identified by its chrome star trim along its sides, a feature all Star Chiefs were equipped with and between 1954 and 1957, the Star Chief was Pontiac's prestige model. When the storyline of 'I love Lucy' pointed towards a Hollywood setting in the 1954-1955 season, the characters "drove" to the West Coast in a 1955 Star Chief convertible. Typical for the 1955 Pontiacs is the design with two wide "Silver Streaks" running the length of the hood. This is a rare opportunity to own a great daily driving and never abused example of a one family owner since new and recently restored and always rust free 1955 Pontiac Star Chief Convertible in now as close to a pristine daily driving example as you will find and one very rare and highly desirable, collectible and unabused example of one of the outstanding mid-fifties classic American cars.
